Happy Monday!!!! Over the weekend we decided that is was time to get the kiddos involved in household responsibilities. They are at an age where we can start assigning small chores and first on the list is helping to care for our family cat Bella. So, when the opportunity came about to pick up a Litter Genie from Target, I was all in! I even created a printable chore chart to help keep them on track!!
This small, but mighty contraption is Genie-us!! It is a hassle-free, odor controlled way to dispose of kitty business in a few easy steps. First, let’s chat about the set up…
Unpack it, snap the scoop holder on the side and insert scoop. Next, open the bag system…pull the bag over the top and through and knot. Then place the bag system into the Genie and close it up, you’re ready to scoop!!
The Litter Genie is great because it not only does it control odor but it is also lightweight and compact.
Here is my middle little in action…he couldn’t wait to “dig in”!! Once you drop the “trinkets” into the Litter Genie, close and hold the top while you pull the lever out, this drops it into air-tight compartment below.
When the bag is full, open up the bottom portion of the Genie, use the built in cutter to remove that section, tie up the loose end and dispose! How awesome is this???!!
The kids were so excited to jump in and help out! To help keep them on track I created a chore cart that could hold the Litter Genie Refills, cat food, cat treats, toys and a chart so they have everything in one convenient place.
