Welcome back and yay for Week 2 of the ONE ROOM CHALLENGE!! You guys have been asking so I thought it was only fair that I share my design board for my entry / stairwell makeover PLUS chat about some of the items that will be used in my space.
Why did I pick my entry? Well it’s the part of my home that welcomes you in and I just didn’t feel it was quite my jam so it was time for an upgrade. So…are you ready to see my design board?
Ahhhhh, so fun right? I’ve included pops of color and variety of pattern and of course texture.
First up my friends at Ryobi we so gracious to send me some tools that will absolutely assist with my DIY need to get this project done. This is where it all starts…literally! My very first tools when I started DIY-ing were Ryobi tools. I have had my 18 gauge Brad Nailer since Ryobi launched it and its been my fave ever since BUT…I was beyond thrilled to get a new one. I will also be using a circular saw to cut some trim and a drill to assist with assembling the furniture.

Mitzi Lighting
It’s no secret that Mitzi is my FAVORITE lighting brand. I used Mitzi fixtures throughout my home and I chose these Leigh 4 Light Pendants in Aged Brass and of course PINK and these Brigitte 2 Light Wall Sconces
Tempaper
My love for wallpaper runs deep so it was an easy decision to add wallpaper to this space. I wanted a design that was simple yet interesting and that didn’t compete with the other wallpapers in the connected spaces. Tempaper had just what I envisioned…this Ditsy Floral.
Minted.
Minted is my go-to source for amazing art. Their artist selection is incredible and you are able to choose if you want the art matted plus they have a huge selection of frames to compliment the prints. This is where I was able to get playful with the design. I wanted to create an eclectic gallery wall for the stairwell. This will be one of the first things you see as you enter.
Well Woven
I wanted to bring some pattern in and I am obsessed with the stylized version of this Leopard Print Rug from Well Woven. I am also adding in a second rug for variety.
Ok that is it “for now”…I mean, I can’t give ALL my secrets away!!! Make sure to follow me on Instagram to stay in the know and check back next week to see what I accomplish this week! Oh and don’t forget to peek at all of my ORC friends and saw what they’re up to!
