Living Room Refresh

Happy Monday!  Hope you all had a great weekend!!  Today I am sharing the other half of the room reveal for my Living Room Refresh!  The first half was posted HERE last week where we showed the amazing wallpaper from Spoonflower.  This week, we are showing the rest of the space, YAY!!  I was lucky to work with Rugs USA and found this GORGEOUS RUG that really grounded and tied the space together.  Ahhhhh…it was even better in person, simply amazing!!!

Every time I design a room, I create a mood board so I can make sure that I like the items I pick and how they play off of each other.  I definitely make adjustments as the look comes together, but making a mood board for your design project is something I highly recommend to help keep your design on track.

The sofas, side tables and most of the pillows were already pieces I had.  I really wanted buffalo check ottomans and could not find any, so the only option I had was to recover an existing ottoman I already had.  I will share that entire DIY later this week.  The window panels were a previous DIY project that I posted HERE and the faux marble side table is HERE.  I am still on the hunt for the perfect chair, but for now the one I have is fine.

I love to mix patterns texture and am not afraid of color.  Here is what the room liked like before…

The area around the TV was dresses up with a gallery wall.

Quite the change, eh???

The rug helped to define the space and then I layered a faux fur rug for an additional layer of texture and add buffer between the pattern in the rug and the buffalo check plaid on the ottoman.

and of course let’s not forget the other side of the room…
